Bill Simmons was unceremoniously "fired" from ESPN. Or rather his contract was "not renewed" but either way, he has some strong feelings about the "mothership" and has let that be known on several occasions. He did it again when Rick Pitino went on Mike & Mike to defend his basketball program from the escort scandal allegations.

He was even critical of the show when he was still employed by ESPN. He basically said he had no respect for the show and it seems that opinion hasn't changed.
