Calipari gets a commitment from none other than...Calipari

If Coach Cal couldn't land this recruit BBN would have had problems.

Kentucky and coach Calipari can pretty much get whatever recruit they want and it should come as no surprise that the Wildcats got this recruit.

That's only the son of John Calipari and probably the easiest recruiting job the elder Calipari has ever had during his time in Lexington.

Back in July 2015, the younger Calipari attempted to dismiss any notions of nepotism with regard to his basketball future, per Bleacher Report's Scott Phillips:

"I want to play collegiately and then overseas. I wouldn't mind playing for my dad, but I don't want it to be just handed to me. It's just pride, really. I don't want people to think that. I've worked so hard to get where I'm at. I want people to know that I'm not getting stuff just handed to me."

The 6'0", 180-pound point guard will likely be just a walk-on for four or five years, but I'm willing to bet he's going to be the favorite walk-on of the fans for those years.
