Coach Cal is all the way on the Tyler Ulis bandwagon

Kentucky won its 29th SEC Tournament title on Sunday and that was good enough to make them a No. 4 seed in the NCAA Tournament. After the win Coach Cal might have been hopped up on the adrenaline afterwards or he could have actually thought this out, but either way he is all in on his point guard Tyler Ulis.

Earlier in the month, Calipari talked about how Ulis will not only get drafted, but drafted this year. He also said that he deserves to be named Player of the Year!

And he went with the classic strategy of finding the shortest guy in the NBA and using him as an example of guys who can make it.

Thomas was the last pick of his draft and he just happened to end up in the right situation. Ulis has been great this season no doubt — he’s averaged 16.8 points, 3.2 rebounds and 7.2 assists per game — and was named the SEC Player of the Year.
