Coach K defends ACC's "reprimand" of Grayson Allen

Coach K has to defend his player.

Duke guard Grayson Allen has had a couple of run-ins with other ACC players this month and was caught tripping a Louisville player early in February and most recently tripped a Florida State player. The ACC finally had to do something about it and gave Allen a "reprimand."

It didn't amount to a suspension, but basically just a slap on the wrist. Most people are understandably upset about this, but Duke's Coach K doesn't see what the big deal is and came to the defense of his player. He basically said people are just hung up on the fact that it involves a Duke player.

"I would not suspend any player for what would be a flagrant 1. What he got was the stiffest reprimand a player in our conference has gotten this year. I thought the [ACC] took action, and you've got to move on. The world doesn't move on, because it's Duke."

Allen doesn't believe that it will be a lingering problem into March though when the games are much higher in stakes. We'll have to wait and see if that holds true come March Madness.
