Art Becker, a former standout at Arizona State University and a two-time All-Star in the American Basketball Association, has died at 84, according to The Arizona Republic.

Becker's wife told the newspaper he had battled prostate cancer for 25 years and was recently diagnosed with leukemia.
A 6-foot-7 forward, Becker played at Arizona State from 1962 to 1964 and earned honorable mention All-America recognition along with second-team all-conference honors as a senior. He helped lead the Sun Devils to a 26-3 record that season and was later inducted into the school's athletics hall of fame.
Becker finished his college career with 1,284 points and 724 rebounds.
He went on to play in the ABA, appearing for multiple teams, including the Houston Mavericks, Indiana Pacers, Denver Rockets, New York Nets and Dallas Chaparrals. Over his professional career, Becker averaged 12.5 points and 6.3 rebounds per game.
Becker was selected to the ABA All-Star Game twice, including a standout 1968 season in which he averaged 18.8 points and 9.4 rebounds. He earned All-Star honors again in 1972.
He also was part of an ABA championship team with the Pacers.
After his playing career, Becker remained involved in athletics, serving as head basketball coach, head tennis coach and athletic director at Scottsdale Community College.
He later was named president of the National Junior College Athletic Association.
