College basketball's 'most clutch' player somehow isn't the guy who hit the most clutch shot of all-time

How is it not Kris Jenkins?!?!?

Villanova's Kris Jenkins had the most clutch shot we might have ever seen in college basketball. He not only hit a game-winner with no time left on the clock, but he did it in a National Championship Game to win it!

So that means he's the most clutch player in college basketball since he's coming back for another year, right? Apparently not. ESPN made its list of most clutch players for this upcoming season and while Jenkins is on it —- he's No. 2 —- he is somehow not the top choice.

The writers at ESPN believe that a different returning starter in a Power Five conference should get the nod and it's the one guy everyone hates. Eamonn Brennan of ESPN wrote this about Grayson Allen and why he thinks he's the most clutch player in the country this season.

Why is Duke is 2016-17's overwhelming favorite? Here you go. It's easy to be distracted by Duke's newly arriving battalion of future NBA lottery picks, so much so that you can forget they're joining up with probably college basketball's best pure scorer from last season, and one whose clutch gene was activated mid-title game in 2015. It's ... terrifying.

While Brennan makes some good points, Allen should have had one of his shots overturned because of a travel and frankly, he still hasn't hit the greatest clutch shot of our time let alone ever. Jenkins most definitely holds that distinction.
