Crowd Erupts As Nebraska Fan Sinks Full-Court Putt To Win Porsche

On a Wednesday night in Lincoln, Nebraska, one lucky fan attending the Cornhuskers vs. USC Trojans men's college basketball game was awarded the opportunity to take a full-court golf putt with a chance at winning a Porsche.

During one of the timeout breaks, the whole crowd looked on as a contestant lined up to take a nearly impossible 94-foot shot.

Upon hitting the ball, it rolled slowly down the baseline, while the announcers gave the play-by-play.

"He's got the line, it rolls smoothly down the court, breaking and gaining speed... and it's in!"

After sinking the shot of a lifetime, the roaring crowd at Pinnacle Bank Arena stood to their feet and cheered for the man in the red hoodie, who was handed a set of keys to his brand new Porsche.

Some pointed out that he didn't show enough emotion, which means he may have been thinking about the taxes he's going to have to pay to the IRS on his new prize.

In view of the game, despite Nebraska senior forward Juwan Gary putting up a season-high 27 points, the home team ended up falling 78-73 to the Trojans, as both Big-10 schools are now 12-7 on the season.

Unfortunately for the Cornhuskers, the team has lost five games in a row and things won't get much easier as for their next matchup they will travel to Wisconsin to take on the No. 18 Badgers (Sunday January 26 1:00 pm ET), who are currently 15-4 this season.
