Despite rumors, nation’s No. 1 recruit Marvin Bagley won’t reclassify and drops new top six list Ball Is Life/YouTube

Most recruitniks and college programs are still waiting on a few elite recruits in the class of 2017, but there are those looking ahead to 2018’s cycle and the top recruit there in Marvin Bagley III. The 6’11”, 220-pound rising senior had rumors swirling around that he might reclassify into the 2017 class, but dispelled that in an interview with d1vision.

“I’m just worried about getting better. I’m not worried about reclassifying. I’m just taking it day by day. Whatever happens in the future happens,” he said.

It doesn’t sound like he’s given it much thought and he will probably stay in the 2018 cycle only because every team he would consider already has their class built and may not have room for him. He’s still considering Arizona, Kentucky, Kansas, Duke, UCLA and USC in his top six. He originally had Arizona State and Oregon in his top schools when he released a list last summer, but they’ve been replaced by USC and Kansas.
