No. 17 Duke (22-8, 11-6) came in with the expectation of blowing out Wake Forest (11-19. 2-16) considering that the Demon Deacons have only won two ACC games. There was nothing resembling a blowout in this game as it was a one-point game at halftime and only a 79-71 win for the Blue Devils.
Despite making only 36.5 percent of their shots, the Blue Devils still had four guys in double figure scoring and won the turnover battle by 10 (18-8 in Duke's favor). Grayson Allen led all scorers with 30 points and had five steals and five assists. Matt Jones chipped in 14 points, Marshall Plumlee had a monster game with 13 points and 17 rebounds and Brandon Ingram had 15 points.
Duke finishes its regular season hosting UNC on Saturday.
