Duke guard needs a month to recover after hernia surgery

Thankfully it doesn't sound too serious.

Duke will not see Grayson Allen in the gym for at least a month it looks like. The shooting guard has had surgery to repair a groin hernia that will require at least a month of recovery. The doctors say that is the normal amount of time to come back from that surgery.

Allen led the team with averages of 21.6 points and 3.5 assists this season. He has already confirmed he will return to Duke for his junior year. So now everyone will get the chance to hate the next Duke villain for at least another year. Maybe the injury came from tripping so many guys, but one way or another Allen will have some extra time to visualize his shot and take a break from being so villainous.
