Duke skates by Penn State after losing another big man to injury

They'll play Rhode Island tomorrow.

No. 1 Duke is having some of the worst injury luck to start this young season with three freshmen bigs all missing time because of various injuries and sophomore Chase Jeter going down with an injury as well. However, that didn't stop the Blue Devils from beating Penn State 78-68 in the Naismith Memorial Hall of Fame and moving on to the final to face Rhode Island.

Despite losing the 6'10" Jeter, Duke still found a way to win and will have to do it again without the services of Jeter on Sunday. Freshman guard Frank Jackson came off the bench to lead Duke with 17 points and three assists. Amile Jefferson had a monster double-double with 16 points and 15 rebounds.

Matt Jones and Luke Kennard also chipped in 15 points apiece while Grayson Allen had 12 points and eight rebounds to round out the majority of the scoring. Javin DeLaurier and Antonio Vrankovic also made it into the game for a total of 10 minutes between the two.
