ESPN analyst says Duke's top freshman shouldn't touch the court this year

He knows a thing or two about injuries.

Duke basketball fans have been excited since the summer when they realized that they would have four players rated as five-stars on the roster this season. However, only one of them in Frank Jackson has actually played because of injuries. While the ones to center Marques Bolden and forward Jayson Tatum don't seem to be serious, Harry Giles' injury required a knee surgery for the third time in his career.

Former Duke standout and No. 2 overall draft pick Jay Williams knows a thing or two about injuries considering that's what essentially ended his short-lived career. He thinks that Giles should pretty much quit on the season and just get ready for the NBA Draft since most teams liked him anyway and didn't need to see him on the college level anyway.

He makes an interesting point, but some kids don't go to school just because they have to and some actually enjoy playing with the team. Giles also committed to Coach K and I'm sure he'd like to play for him, but we'll see what happens when and if Giles ever fully recovers from the surgery this season.
