It's that time of year when college basketball players are declaring for the NBA Draft and get to do so without an agent now —- and are eligible to return to school if they do it that way — but there are the confident others that know their draft status is pretty much locked in. Gonzaga's Nigel Williams-Goss is one of those players as he's made his decision to pro a permanent one by signing with an agent.

Williams-Goss was named the West Coast Conference Player of the Year for averaging 16.8 points, 1.7 steals, 4.7 assists and six rebounds as a game as a 6'3" guard. He also shot 36.8 percent from beyond the arc and 48.6 percent overall while leading his team to the national title game against UNC where they ultimately lost 71-65. Williams-Goss has been mocked as a second-rounder by a lot of experts and even as undrafted by others, but he is convinced that this is the right decision.
"I just felt like in my heart of hearts it was the right decision," Williams-Goss said. "I feel like I came here to improve as a player. Looking at all my stats across the board I did that. I came here to get my degree and I did that. I came here to help Gonzaga make history and I think we did that by making the Final Four and the championship game.
"I feel like mentally and physically I've done pretty much all I could do at this level."
He was named a first-team All-American as well as an Academic All-American for the 2016-17 season, becoming only the sixth player in the last 20 years to do so.
