Five-star 7-footer narrows down decision date as commitment time looms

Looks like he's getting closer.

Mohamed Bamba is one of the last remaining five-star recruits that hasn't committed for the class of 2017. He's the No. 3 player in the country according to ESPN and is the No. 2 power forward in the country. He stands 7-feet tall and weighs 216 pounds, but can step out and shoot the ball well on the perimeter so it's kind of curious that he hasn't been snatched up yet by a school.

He's down to Michigan, Duke, Kentucky and Texas in his recruitment right now, but has not hinted at when he will make his decision. That is, until now. Bamba spoke with Rivals about when he might make his decision and it sounds like it could be coming in the next month.

When asked if he will make his decision before the NBA Draft, Bamba laughed and said "that is way too long." So it looks like he'll make his decision well before the draft, which takes place on June 22. So it looks like we have a month-and-a-half long window to wait.
