Five-star point guard Trae Young is one of the most coveted guards in the class because of its lack of good and elite point guards. He is the No. 3 point guard according to 247Sports and the top recruit in the state of Oklahoma as well as the No. 18 recruit in the country. It looks like he has officially made his commitment now and we can get excited about him playing for Oklahoma:

Trae Young to Oklahoma. Huge get for the Sooners.

He gives the Sooners a huge boost as they were in desperate need of a point guard and some star power in the 2017 class. The 6'2", 176-pound point guard spurned Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, Kentucky and Arizona to land with the OU. He had 25 offers in total and his decision could very well decide where top point guard Trevon Duval ends up signing as well.
This could put the Sooners back on the map as well since they've been pretty bad this year. They lost a considerable amount of talent in Buddy Hield and Ryan Spangler among others so Young could help them immediately recoup some of those losses.
