Keldon Johnson took an unexpected visit to Kentucky on Tuesday and he spoke to Scout afterwards about potential official visits with two already in mind. He said he will take his first visit over the first weekend of September when he heads to Texas and will then go to Florida State after that.
Johnson said that Texas, Florida State, Maryland, Oregon, Georgetown and N.C. State are among the schools that prioritized him. He also said he has no timeline on when he will make a decision on his commitment, but Kentucky not getting a mention has to be concerning for Big Blue Nation considering the shooting guard is a five-star recruit.
The 6-foot-6 shooter is ranked as the No. 12 recruit in the country and the No. 2 recruit at his position by ESPN. He also holds offers from Florida, Kansas, Maryland, UConn, Indiana and Louisville among others.
