The Monmouth Hawks (13-4) took on the Iona Gaels (9-7) Friday night and things got a little rough after the game. Monmouth won a close game 110-102 and it seems Iona didn't take the loss too well as Gael player Jordan Washington took a cheap shot at Monmouth's Chris Brady.

And a small altercation came of the game last night, but nothing more serious than that cheap slap from Iona.
Monmouth coach King Rice was pretty impressed with the slap though and thought Washington should take up MMA.
Via the Asbury Park Press:
"Chris [Brady's] nose is about this swollen right now, so if [Washington] slapped Chris that hard, man he should maybe try MMA because nobody smacks, and the kid's nose is this big downstairs right now."
Iona might have gotten annoyed with Monmouth's bench celebrations, which it has been doing all year, but it stepped its game up again for this game.
Yeah, Rice wasn't going to leave the Iona crowd with nothing to get pissed off at either.

The rest of Monmouth's season should be pretty fun to follow now.
