John Calipari's theory on why his team is a 4-seed is certainly interesting

Cal seems pretty upset about this one.

Kentucky coach John Calipari has a pretty good reason to be upset at being given a 4-seed in the NCAA Tournament. His team won the SEC regular season title and beat the team it shared it with in the SEC Tournament final. The Wildcats had the 30th ranked strength of schedule and 15th ranked SOS outside of the conference and went 13-3 against those teams.

Coach Cal has an interesting theory on why his team got a 4-seed and it has nothing to do with the quality of the team's play —- which has been great recently by the way.

There was plenty more on Coach Cal's show and Kentucky Sports Radio transcribed the whole thing:

"I had an idea who would be in our path. Like I said, I thought they'd try to ship us to Anchorage but there's no regional up there, so they shipped us to Des Moines. (We're) Playing on Thursday at midnight." He later added: "They could explain the numbers however they want, they did not want us in Louisville."

Kentucky would have a crazy home-court advantage if they played there as their fans basically own the state and they travel anyway. The only place they would rather travel to to watch their Wildcats play is Lexington.
