Former five-star big man Billy Preston hears back from NCAA on his eligibility

Interesting.

Five-star power forward Billy Preston was the prize of Kansas' recruiting class this year as he was ranked the No. 17 overall recruit and No. 4 power forward in the class of 2017 according to ESPN. There was some issues with his eligibility with the NCAA though and he was in jeopardy of missing out on the team's August trip to Italy. That won't be the case any more though:

This bodes well for Kansas as the frontcourt for the Jayhawks this season is incredibly thin. It's returning sophomore Udoka Azubuike, Mitch Lightfoot and Preston. And that is it as far as eligible big men available to play with the Lawson brothers having to sit out a year due to NCAA transfer rules.
