Kentucky (24-8) more than took care of business against Alabama (18-14) in the SEC Tournament quarterfinals. The Wildcats beat the Crimson Tide 85-59 thanks to some great efforts from the usual suspects and some lockdown defense that kept Bama to about 40 percent shooting.
Tyler Ulis had 17 points and five assists, Jamal Murray led all scorers with 23 points and Alex Poythress chipped in 20 points to go with seven boards. Kentucky shot almost 55 percent from the field and only had seven turnovers during the game while forcing 13 for Alabama. Kentucky will face Georgia on Saturday in the semifinals.
