Kentucky gets back to winning ways in Tuscaloosa

No. 9 Kentucky (12-3, 2-1) traveled to Tuscaloosa to play an underrated Alabama squad (9-5, 0-2) and made sure that the Crimson Tide would stay unranked. The Wildcats took out their anger from the LSU loss on Alabama by winning 77-61. UK shot an absurd 55 percent from the field and held Alabama to 34.6 percent.

Kentucky got great outings from Alex Poythress and Jamal Murray who had 25 and 21 points, respectively. Marcus Lee came close to a double-double with eight points and 11 boards while Isaiah Briscoe chipped in 12 points and Tyler Ulis did just about everything else. He had five rebounds, eight points, and eight assists. The Wildcats also outrebounded Alabama 43-25 on the glass.

Kentucky next hosts Mississippi State on Tuesday in Rupp Arena.
