The Kentucky Wildcats have suspended big man Tai Wynyard for the remainder of the college basketball season.

Oddly enough, this past Monday John Calipari claimed the sophomore would miss the rest of the season due to injury. SEC Country's Kyle Tucker, however, has reported that the 6-foot-10 Wynyard also just so happens to be suspended.
"Tai has been suspended from team activities due to a violation of team rules until further notice," a UK spokesman confirmed to Tucker.
On Monday, Calipari talked a different game.
"He's tried to come back twice — it hasn't worked — so I think at this point he'll be sitting out the rest of the year," Calipari said of the injury on Monday. "I don't think there'd be any chance [he'll return] at this point. He'll be out."
Tucker reports the injury has been and is real. This wasn't Big Blue Nation lying about that.
At the time of this writing, no other information has yet been made available. Now that Tucker has broken the story, it is inevitable that the university releases a more formal statement, even if it ends up being vague in nature.
Appearing in only eight games this season, Wynyard played a total of 43 minutes.
