Louisville loses heartbreaker in Clemson

No. 16 Louisville (13-3, 2-1) lost a heartbreaker to Clemson (10-6, 3-1) 66-62 on Sunday as the Cards had one of their worst shooting performances of the year. The Cards could only manage to shoot 35.3 percent, but also kept the Tigers to a paltry 32.6 percent shooting. It just so happens that the Tigers got to the free throw line 44 times!

Chinanu Onuaku had 14 points and 10 rebounds while Trey Lewis had 10 points and eight boards. Clemson had four guys in double figures led by Jaron Blossomgame with 17 points. Avry Holmes had 16, Donte Grantham had 12, and Jordan Roper had 10. Clemson also had 32 out of its 44 free throw attempts and won the game despite being outrebounded 53-31.

Louisville next plays Pittsburgh on Thursday and Clemson hosts Duke on Wednesday.
