Louisville wins first game after postseason ban

A good win for Louisville all things considered.

No. 19 Louisville (19-4, 8-2) was rolling on offense against Boston College despite missing leading scorer Damion Lee for the game. The Cards got contributions from just about everyone who entered the game and blasted the Eagles 79-47. This came 24 hours after the university announced it would self-impose a postseason ban for this season. The team could have rolled over and given up, but that was definitely not the case.

Chinanu Onuaku had eight points, 13 boards, two blocks and two steals for the game. Trey Lewis led the scoring with 16 points and got help from Donovan Mitchell who had 10 points off the bench. The Cards kept Boston College to only 38.5 percent shooting from the floor and shot about 51 percent themselves. Louisville next plays at Duke on Monday.
