No. 16 Louisville (17-3, 6-1) had been struggling in conference play to score the ball, only averaging about 70 points per game — compared to about 83 out of conference. The Cards came alive against Virginia Tech (12-9, 4-4) though to get the 91-83 win in their first time playing in Blacksburg in 21 years.
Damion Lee paced all scorers with 29 points and he only missed two shots and a free throw all night. Trey Lewis had 22 points while Jaylen Johnson had 11 points, nine boards, and one impressive throwdown. Louisville next hosts Virginia on Saturday.
