LSU gets huge SEC win over Kentucky

Unranked LSU took care of No. 9 Kentucky pretty handily with an 85-67 score. Freshman sensation Ben Simmons only played nine minutes in the first half, but still finished with a 14-10 double-double. LSU had two other Tigers with double-doubles as well in Tim Quarterman (21 points and 10 rebounds) and Craig Victor II (15 points and 12 rebounds).

The Tigers outrebounded the Wildcats by 14 and kept them to a low 41.4 percent shooting while shooting almost 50 percent themselves. It helps when UK's Marcus Lee and Alex Poythress foul out of the game with a combined four points. Only Tyler Ulis and Jamal Murray could get anything going with 23 and 21 points, respectively.

It looks like Ben Simmons is finally getting help from his supporting cast and the Tigers just became super dangerous in the SEC. This conference could have as many as six teams make the NCAA tournament this year with South Carolina still undefeated and a few other schools playing up to their potential now.
