Marcus Paige will forever be ‘haunted’ by Jenkins’ shot

There are plenty of North Carolina fans who had nightmares about the shot Kris Jenkins hit to give Villanova its second National Championship in basketball. It sounds like it will affect Tar Heel guard Marcus Paige way more than that though down the road. In an interview after the game he talked about how he will actually be haunted by the shot.

“It’s something that will probably haunt me for the rest of my life. I’m going to see it. And it’s going to hurt every time. I was about 99% sure we were going to win that game. We just had to get through the last 4.7 seconds.”

And he’s probably right. UNC had the momentum going into a potential overtime, but Jenkins decided that wasn’t going to happen on Monday night.
