Former four-time All-Star fired from head coaching job only nine games into the season

Whoa.

Former four-time NBA All-Star Mark Price took over the Charlotte head coaching job in 2015 and has been trying to rebuild the program since. The 49ers have finished 14-19 and 13-17 in his first two seasons on the job. However, the school felt the team wasn't living up to expectations though with a 3-6 start to this season and has decided to let him go.

Price leaves the program with a 30-42 record overall and 16-20 record in conference play. He held several assistant coaching positions before landing his first head coaching job at Charlotte including some with Georgia Tech, the Orlando Magic, Atlanta Hawks, Charlotte Hornets and Golden State Warriors.

Price played for the Cleveland Cavaliers most famously where his jersey is retired. He also made appearances for the Warriors, Magic and Washington Bullets (at the time).
