Potential top pick in next year's NBA Draft could miss his first game of the season with an injury

This does not sound good.

Missouri freshman Michael Porter Jr. will be a game-time decision for Monday night's matchup against Wagner, according to Jon Rothstein of FanRag Sports.

Porter reportedly injured his hip during warmups prior to the team's season opener on Friday against Iowa State. Head coach Cuonzo Martin told FanRag Sports that the team will determine at shootaround whether or not Porter will play against Wagner on Monday night.

He logged just two minutes during Friday night's game and scored two points and two rebounds in the Tigers' 74-59 win. Martin said after the game that Porter's injury is not considered to be a serious one and he doesn't think it will affect him long term.

Porter is considered by many to be a top-5 pick in next year's NBA Draft.
