during the first round of the 2016 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament at Scottrade Center on March 18, 2016 in St Louis, Missouri.

The brackets are busted, as a 15-seed has taken down 2-seed Michigan State

Huge upset on the second day of the NCAA tournament!

For the eighth time in NCAA tournament history, as 15-seed has beaten a 2-seed, as Middle Tennessee State took down Michigan State 90-81 on Friday afternoon.

Middle Tennessee, a 25-9 team out of Conference USA, was led by Reggie Upshaw with 21 points, four rebounds, four assists, and three blocks. The Blue Raiders held the lead wire-to-wire, controlling the entire game to advance to the next round.

This is an upset that really busts a lot of brackets, as a lot of people had picked Michigan State as a Final Four team, or even as the national champions. According to ESPN, 62-percent of their brackets had the Spartans in the Final Four, with 22-percent picking them to win it all.

The 29-6 Spartans must now head home, while Middle Tennessee State chugs on to face the 10-seed Syracuse on Sunday.
