No. 2 combo guard of 2018 spurns SEC powers, commits to this ACC school Blue Chip Hoops/YouTube

Anfernee Simons is one of the smoothest players and shooters in the class of 2018 and he has a school now. He committed Friday night and sent out this message Saturday morning on why he decided to commit a full year early.

Simons is a 6’3″, 165-pound combo guard rated as a four-star recruit and is now Louisville’s first commitment in the class. The Cardinals have four signees in 2017 already so getting a head start on 2018 was big for Rick Pitino and his staff. Simons felt comfortable with Pitino and said that the staff made him a priority from the beginning.

Simons also held offers from Florida, Florida State, LSU, Memphis, Virginia Tech and UConn among others.
