Notre Dame downs No. 2 UNC behind a low turnover game

Notre Dame found its quality win!

Notre Dame (16-7, 7-4) hosted ESPN's College GameDay and the No. 2 North Carolina Tar Heels (19-4, 8-2) on Saturday in a highly anticipated game. The Fighting Irish took a huge win away from the Tar Heels despite shooting only 35 percent from the floor. They also only had two turnovers though which played a huge role in the 80-76 upset of the second best team in the country.

UNC hit half of its threes and Marcus Paige broke out of a huge slump by knocking down seven of his 12 shot attempts for 21 points. Brice Johnson had another double-double with 14 points and 14 rebounds and had three blocks. The 13 turnovers are what did in the Tar Heels though even with the 46 percent shooting from the floor.

The Tar Heels will play at Boston College on Tuesday and with the Eagles winless in ACC play it should be a good slump buster after losing two games in a row.
