Final Four contender suffers major setback with significant injury to key player

This is just the worst.

Arizona was looking to become a Final Four contender yet again this season with key additions in Emmanuel Akot and DeAndre Ayton as well as key returners in Rawle Alkins, Dusan Ristic and Allonzo Trier. However, one of those guys will be missing some significant time due to a broken foot:

Alkins averaged 10.9 points, 2.1 assists and 4.9 rebounds a game last year while shooting 37 percent from beyond the arc and 46.3 percent from the floor overall. From the looks of that particular timeline, it sounds like he will be back in time for conference play if not right before.
