The Texas A&M Aggies women's basketball team is having yet another impressive season under head coach Gary Blair. They are looking even better than the team that made it to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament last season when they nearly beat No. 1 seed Notre Dame, only losing by six points, 90-84.

The Aggies seem to be peaking at the right time this year, and the emergence of their new Big Three is going to be a real problem for other teams once the SEC tournament begins. That production is coming in both the back and front court is very difficult to defend, especially when it's happening on a consistent basis.
In the Aggies' most recent victory against the Florida Gators, Chennedy Carter scored 21 points, grabbed 5 rebounds, and dished 4 assists. Guard Kayla Wells finished with 24 points or her own, and Ciera Johnson contributed 21 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.
If Texas A&M's Big Three play like that, good luck ever slowing them down.
Although the Aggies have been dominate for a lot of stretches this season, they have dropped a few winnable games along the way. As it stands now, there is only one team that is really a threat to them in the SEC, and that is the fifth-ranked Mississippi State Bulldogs.
Mississippi State is 23-2 overall and 13-1 in the SEC with just two games to play. The Aggies got a first-hand taste on the Bulldogs dominance in a lopsided 92-64 loss to Mississippi State back on February 17 in College Station. The guard play cancelled out, and this game was won in the paint and on the boards. The Aggies were out-rebounded 42-31, but it was the Bulldogs offensive rebounding that hurt the Aggies in their first meeting.

Both teams have a really good backcourt with guards that can score in double digits each game, but the difference between the two teams is that they have other players in multiple positions that can score and rebound as well.
Coach Blair with undoubtedly make adjustments from their first meeting, but the real challenge will be placed on Aggie forward N'dea Jones and Center Ciera Johnson. For the Aggies to beat the Bulldogs — should the rematch come this season — they will have to play their best games of the year. Based on the recent effort and rise in intensity, the Aggies look like they are not playing for second place.
The Bulldogs are the only team that stand in their way, but the Aggies won't be caught off guard or overwhelmed this time around.
