East Region: North Carolina Tar Heels
South Region: Kansas Jayhawks
Midwest Region: Virginia Cavaliers
West Region: Oregon Ducks
Kansas earned the No. 1 overall seed for this year's tournament. The team that arguably got snubbed from a No. 1 seed here is the Michigan State Spartans, who finished the season winning the Big Ten conference tournament and a 29-5 overall record.
Kansas has been the best team in the country for the majority of this season having racked up 30 wins against only four losses and the Jayhawks are currently on a 14-game winning streak. Kansas beat the likes of Kansas State, Baylor and West Virginia to become Big 12 Champions.
North Carolina won the ACC Tournament thanks to a gritty effort against Virginia in the final and wins over Pitt and Notre Dame before that. The Tar Heels won the regular season title by a two game margin and have been rewarded with a No. 1 seed for it. They also are 9-3 in their last 12 games and were a perfect 7-0 on neutral courts, which will certainly come into play during the NCAA Tournament.
