This 7'1" basketball star was arrested on robbery charges and he won't be seeing any more scholarships

How did he think he could get away with it?

Zach Brown is a legitimate  7'1" and weighs 265 pounds. He had offers from the likes of UConn, South Carolina, Florida, Kansas and Kentucky among many others. Those might have all just disappeared though as he was arrested Sunday night.

According to the Metro Dade police, Brown  was charged with armed robbery, multiple counts of robbery by sudden snatching and five counts of credit card fraud of more than $100. As of Sunday night, he was being held on $25,000 bond. He's a top 25 player in ESPN's rankings for the class of 2017 and is widely considered to be a top five center.

Brown had recently returned to South Florida after a brief stint at Putnam Science in Connecticut. According to the Hartford Courant, Brown was asked to leave the school after an on-court altercation with opposing players. He had originally moved up there to be closer to UConn where he committed. However, he re-opened his recruitment last month since he was not as close to Connecticut as he was before.
