This Australian five-star phenom just put this mid-major on the map

An intriguing choice to say the least.

William McDowell-White is a five-star recruit out of Australia who played for the U19 national team and has just put a mid-major out in California on the map with his commitment. He will be heading to Fresno State despite the fact he had Arizona State and Texas A&M so high on his list.

McDowell is a 6'5", 185-pound shooting guard who participated in the Nike Hop Summit recently and Basketball Without Borders camp during the NBA All-Star Weekend. It's not often you see a five-star recruit go to such a small school, but this could be the big break Fresno State is looking for in 2016 to get them to the next level and hopefully into the NCAA Tournament.
