PJohn Petty is the No. 25 player in the ESPN top 100 and that makes him the last five-star recruit as well. The Alabama native was down to two SEC schools in his recruitment with Kentucky and Alabama making it to the final stage.

While he didn’t commit on ESPNU like three other top-20 recruits did earlier in the day, his commitment is just as important as those other ones. He signed his National Letter of Intent and will be heading to Alabama next year. With the pledge, the Crimson Tide easily move up into the top 15 of the class recruiting rankings.

Petty joins four-star power forward Alex Reese, three-star small forward Herb Jones and unranked center Galin Smith as well as fellow five-star guard Collin Sexton in the 2017 class.
