Kansas had been dragging on the recruiting trail so far this summer, but got a much needed commitment out of combo guard Marcus Garrett out of Dallas, Texas. The 6'5", 180-pound combo guard was under the radar for much of the summer as he only had three offers from Kansas, SMU and Baylor. It seems he wants to get out of The Lone Star State though as he committed to Kansas.

However, an offer from any one of those three schools is a big one so you know the kid has talent. 247Sports rates him as a four-star recruit and the No. 3 combo guard in the country. He's the No. 8 player in Texas and No. 89 overall in the class and a player that coach Bill Self is going to love once he gets on campus because of his versatility.
