Potential top five NBA Draft pick Dennis Smith makes his intentions known

Should have seen this coming.

With the Final Four coming up this weekend, many potential NBA picks have decided to declare for the Draft or even announce they'll stay for another year. The former is the case for N.C. State standout point guard Dennis Smith Jr.

Smith averaged 18.1 points, 6.2 assists and 4.6 rebounds and also recorded two triple-doubles against ACC opponents this season. While he was phenomenal and did just about everything on the court, his team was truly terrible and underachieving at 15-17 for the year. That led to the firing of Mark Gottfried and that surely played a role in Smith's decision as well as the fact he's guaranteed to be a top ten pick come this June.
