UNC building serious depth with commitment from five-star Coby White

North Carolina has two guards coming in 2017 in Jalek Felton and Andrew Platek and another two coming on campus this year in Brandon Robinson and Seventh Woods so the Tar Heels have plenty of depth at the guard position and will need it once Joel Berry graduates or decides to go pro.

The Tar Heels currently have Theo Pinson, Berry, Kenny Williams and the two freshmen previously mentioned as their guard platoon, but that will dwindle by the time five-star combo guard Coby White gets there. The 2018 combo guard is rated five stars by ESPN and is considered the top player in the state of North Carolina so it's only right he ends up with the state school:

The 6'3", 165-pound guard has some time to get a little bigger and could improve on his No. 21 spot in the overall rankings by the time he gets on campus as well. Coach Roy Williams has the players he needs already for 2017 so why not get ahead on 2018? That's exactly what he's done with White and now he's got to go out and get a couple big men to complement his guard haul.
