No. 9 UNC (7-1) easily handled in-state little brother Davidson (5-1) on Sunday 98-65. The Tar Heels shot about 50 percent from the field while they held the Wildcats to about 34 percent shooting. Nate Britt came off the bench for UNC to tie a career-high in points with 17 while four other Tar Heels scored in double figures.
Marcus Paige had 13 points, Justin Jackson had 15, Brice Johnson had 13, and Joel Berry had 11. A lot of guys who don’t normally see the floor got some good playing time and that’s one of the reasons the starters and regulars off the bench didn’t score as much this game. UNC next plays at Texas on Saturday.
