North Carolina (26-6) and Pittsburgh (21-11) met up in the ACC Tournament on Thursday and it was a close game until about halfway through the second half. UNC used a 12-1 run over the course of a few minutes in the second half to get ahead 69-56 and keep that lead on the way to an 88-71 win.
It should come as no surprise that Brice Johnson had yet another double-double with 19 points and 10 boards and he was helped out by Justin Jackson who had 11 points and Joel Berry who had a game-high 20 points. Isaiah Hicks came off the bench to score 10 points as well. UNC will play Notre Dame on Friday after the Fighting Irish got a win over Duke.
