UNC pulls away in second half to beat N.C. State

No. 5 UNC (16-2, 5-0) got a solid 67-55 win over a scrappy N.C. State (10-8, 0-5) squad that has not yet won an ACC game. The game was tied at halftime 29-29, but UNC put the clamps down on Cat Barber and didn't allow the Wolfpack's best player to score another point the rest of the game.

Marcus Paige struggled for the Tar Heels only hitting one shot all game, but Joel Berry helped with his 14 points and Kennedy Meeks led all scorers with 23 points. Isaiah Hicks came off the bench to score 10 points as well as both teams shot horribly —- 40 percent or worse on both sides —- but it was the Wolfpack's 18 turnovers that ultimately cost them the game.
