Utah Tech's trip to Santa Clara on Wednesday turned ugly fast, and not just on the scoreboard.

Redshirt sophomore Chance Trujillo wound up on the wrong end of a highlight dunk, then made things even worse by reacting in the one way you absolutely cannot.
With just over a minute left and Santa Clara leading by seven, Broncos guard Allen Graves rose up and hammered home a vicious poster dunk over Trujillo. It was one of the early-season head-turners in college hoops, as relayed by Mark Harris of OutKick.
Graves gave a quick chest bump after the play. Trujillo answered with a swing to the head. A real punch. Officials hit both players with technicals, but Trujillo somehow avoided an ejection despite throwing the only true strike.
I mean this should be a suspension for Utah Tech’s Chance Trujillo
Just so unnecessary

Santa Clara went on to close out a 90-80 win, moving to 8-1 on the season. The Broncos have been one of the better stories out West with wins over Xavier, Minnesota, and McNeese State, and their only loss coming against Saint Louis. They currently sit No. 38 in the NET rankings, trailing only Gonzaga and Saint Mary's among WCC programs.
Utah Tech dropped to 5-6, but most of the postgame conversation centered on Trujillo's punch — and just how lucky he was to actually stay in the game after it.
