Former USC hooper Destiny Littleton stuck in Israel as missiles light up the sky

What was supposed to be a dream overseas season has turned into something out of a war documentary. Former USC guard Destiny Littleton is currently stuck in Israel after airstrikes erupted amid escalating tensions involving Israel, the United States and Iran.

Littleton signed with Hapoel Jerusalem in Israel's top division and, by her account, was loving it. New country. High-level competition. Doors opening.

Now? She's running to bomb shelters.

"It's my reality right now. It's a war zone," she told Fox News, describing the routine: wait for the alert, hear the siren, get to shelter, wait for the all-clear. Repeat.

On social media, Littleton has shared chilling videos of bright missile flashes streaking across the night sky. In one clip, explosions light up the horizon without a siren sounding. "Very, very close to us," she says.

Airspace is currently closed, making it nearly impossible for Americans to leave. And yes, she wants out.

"Trust me, all of us, we're trying to leave at the earliest possible convenience," she said, urging calm despite the chaos.

Littleton isn't alone. Her former South Carolina coach Dawn Staley has publicly said she's working on a plan to get her former players home safely.

From NCAA champion to sheltering from missiles. This isn't just a basketball story anymore.
