As you can see in the clip above, Southern Mississippi shot a three-pointer, resulting in Dominique Davis of Southern Miss and Emma Imevbore of Arkansas State getting tied up, looking to retrieve the rebound.
Instead, the attempted rebound spilled into the bench. Imevbore threw a punch, which resulted in Souther Miss' bench reacting.
In all, there were five ejections after the multi-minute melee was calmed. Four of the ejections were on the side of Southern Miss and one from Arkansas State. Included in the ejections were Davis and Imevbore and three other Souther Miss players—Lani Cornfield, Ashjha Leake, and Brikayla Gray.
Here are the ejections.

Beyond the players, three fans were ejected from the game as they ran onto the court. It took about 15 minutes for the game to restart, and now, several players are staring down a one-game suspension.
At this point in the game, Southern Miss was leading 30-26, and following the ejections, Southern Miss had just seven players remaining on their squad.
We mentioned there was a "crushed coach"—that was Southern Miss assistant Jessica Barber as she found her way to the bottom of the action. She was later escorted to the locker room but did return after halftime on crutches.
In the end, Southern Miss, with just seven players in the second half, won the game 57-48. They improved to 14-10.
With this win, Southern Miss secured their fifth straight conference win. Southern Miss will host Texas State on Saturday, February 17, as Arkansas State takes on Louisiana-Lafayette the same day.
These teams will meet again on Saturday, February 24, at Arkansas State. Get your popcorn ready.
