Coach Calipari isn't in the business of handing out compliments all willy-nilly and he certainly doesn't give them out just to look like a nice guy. He'll tell you how it is just about every time and he honestly believes that Indiana head coach Tom Crean deserves to be named the Coach of the Year.
Indiana was pretty good this year winning the Big Ten regular season title by two games. They beat the expectations of them being a middling team in the conference and beating out teams like Michigan State, Maryland and Purdue. I don't know about Coach of the Year, but Crean certainly earned himself an extension and should have all of his criticism negated now.
Kentucky and Indiana play on Saturday at 5:15 in a classic blue blood rivalry.
