The biggest free agent recruit of the 2016 class may be closer to making a decision. According to Rivals, five-star wide receiver Demetris Robertson (6-foot-0, 175 pounds, Savannah, GA) has signed an aid agreement with California.
Robertson has yet to make a full commitment to the Bears, but this could be a huge indication to wear 2016's last major recruit could be heading. Robertson has taken official visits to Cal, Notre Dame, Alabama, and Georgia Tech, and he still has plans to make a visit to Georgia.
What has taken Robertson so long to make a decision? The young wideout really values education, and he has made several attempts to make the grades to get into Stanford. Robertson's most recent SAT will show whether or not he can get into the prestigious Palo Alto school, after which he should make his decision.
Overall, Robertson is rated as the No. 14 overall recruit and the No. 1 wide receiver of the 2016 recruiting cycle. 247Sports current lists Notre Dame as the favorite to gain his commitment.
