Off-the-field issues has prevented Robertson from signing back on National Signing Day on February 3. According to the Detroit News, Robertson was arrested for misdemeanor battery, and charged with resisting an officer and criminal mischief in two separate incidents in the past year.

Robertson told 247Sports that he hopes his signing with the Spartans represents a new chapter on his life where he can put the past behind him. Robertson is the No. 9 ranked prospect at his position and he represents Michigan State's 20th signee of the 2016 class.
